Concerts
Wakefield Guitar Festival features an impressive line up of concert artists. On Friday evening, we kick off with a concert split between two of Canada's premier guitar acts. Internationally acclaimed classical guitarist Emma Rush takes the stage first with a dynamic and diverse program. She'll be followed by the Canadian Guitar Quartet's fiery virtuosity, playing chamber music at the highest level. Saturday showcases JUNO winning jazz guitarist Jocelyn Gould, known for her chart-topping albums and captivating performances. Sunday evening features the dazzling artistry of Colin Davin, a classical guitarist who has appeared on stages from Carnegie Hall to the Late Show with David Letterman. Following Colin and wrapping up the festival will be the International Acoustic Music Award winning fingerstyle guitarist Tim Farrell. Well-known Ottawa guitarist Alex Bougie will be on site throughout the weekend performing instrument demonstrations, bringing the beautiful guitars in our luthier showcase to life.
